Take in the awe-inspiring sights of the towering beech and sugar maple giants while joining local mushroom enthusiast Inga Hinnerichsen on an educational mushroom walk through LPBLT’s Jackson – Gunn Old Growth Forest. We will be looking at the types of fungi that can flourish in the undergrowth as well as learning about the differences between them.
The walk will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for an afternoon of fungus and fun! Space for this walk is limited so please register here.

Located near Houghton Centre, access to the property is on the south side of Lower Sideroad, between Regional Road 28 and Concession 4. Parking will be along the southern side of Lower Sideroad near the gate. Click here for map.
