Welcome to the Walking Arboretum and Biodiversity Tour
The Arboretum Trail offers a serene walk through a collection of 13 native tree species, each marked with informative signs. As you explore, you’ll learn about the ecological importance of these species and their role in supporting the reserve’s diverse habitats. The trail provides visitors with an educational experience, highlighting the beauty and significance of native trees in local conservation efforts.
Spring Arbour Farm Nature Reserve boasts an array of native trees which contribute to a rich biodiversity. On this self-guided walking tour, you will be introduced to trees and some of the many lepidoptera (butterflies and moths) associated with their habitat. Collectively, these incredible species represent a snapshot of the amazing biodiversity of Norfolk County that Long Point Basin Land Trust seeks to support through a network of protected areas such as the Spring Arbour Farm Nature Reserve.
Continue along the trail to explore and uncover all 14 informational plaques on the tour.
We extend our sincere thanks to TD Friends of the Environment Foundation for their generous funding, which made the creation of the Arboretum signage at Spring Arbour Farm possible. Their support has enriched the visitor experience and helps raise awareness about the importance of native tree species in our conservation efforts.
