1000 Acts – Long Point Basin Land Trust

Protecting nature isn’t one big act, it’s a thousand small ones.

Every seed planted, every acre restored, every species safeguarded, and every donation — helps form a living network of care that keeps our forests, prairies, and streams thriving.

Whether your act is a donation of $50 or $1,000, it becomes part of something greater — a thousand acts of conservation that help to protect the living landscapes we all depend on.

Every year, Long Point Basin Land Trust carries out hundreds of acts of stewardship that keep our protected lands healthy and resilient. These include monitoring species at risk, restoring native prairie and forest habitats, removing invasive plants like Phragmites, maintaining trails for safe public access, and planting native trees and shrubs to strengthen wildlife corridors. Each act, whether it’s a day of fieldwork, a volunteer planting, or a season of habitat monitoring — helps ensure that the forests, grasslands, and wetlands of the Long Point basin continue to thrive for generations.
