The Stackhouse Forest Sanctuary is one of Long Point Basin Land Trust’s most pristine forested properties. The inclusion of Dedrick’s Creek (which flows into Long Point Bay) and associated aquatic habitats within the eastern portion of the property gives it an abundance of biodiversity – making its protection vitally important to the watershed’s overall health.

The protection of the Stackhouse Forest Sanctuary aids in the conservation and maintenance of important ecological connections to a large area of intact core forest habitat.
