Norfolk County, ON (June, 2023)
Jackie Ellefsen is joining the Long Point Basin Land Trust (LPBLT) as Senior Development Manager in June
after a vacation hiking in Spain. Her principal role will be raising funds to support the organization’s
mission to protect and preserve areas of ecological value and high biodiversity in the Long Point Basin
area. She will also manage the LPBLT’s communications and community outreach efforts.
“I’m thrilled to be combining my passion for fundraising and Nature in this new role,” Ellefsen noted. “As
a toddler, I learned to walk on Long Point sands, so the area is also personally meaningful to me.”
Jackie joins LPBLT with fifteen years’ experience in fundraising management and led the Thames Valley
Education Foundation to build capacity for education equity within the Thames Valley District School
Board. Previously, she led a multi-million dollar Cardiac Care Campaign at London Health Sciences
Foundation. Jackie has held a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation since 2014 and
currently teaches fundraising and non-profit writing at Western University.
“We are excited to have Jackie bringing her fundraising expertise and experience to our team”, said Rick
Levick, LPBLT executive director. “As an avid hiker, she’ll certainly enjoy getting to know our 13 Nature
Reserves and the many people who support our efforts”.
