ViewPoint – Spring 2019 – Spring is a time for growing and celebrating

Spring is a time for growing and celebrating and Long Point Basin Land Trust has been doing both this spring. With our most recent acquisition, the Land Trust hits many milestones: 10th nature reserve; adding an impressive 39% to our protected network of areas overnight; and, surpassing a square mile (combined) of protected natural areas. The 2019 spring issue of LPBLT’s ViewPoint provides an overview of the acquisition of the Trout Creek Nature Reserve, our new Explore the Outdoors program, various activities undertaken on our nature reserves summarized as stewardship shorts, a highlight of the familiar but elusive Spring Peeper, and an update on the campaign to endow our largest donation of land to date.
